Net income of Reditus increases by 65% in 2013

  • Operating Income of 112,7 million euros (-13.4%)
  • EBITDA of 11,7 million euros (-27.9%)
  • EBITDA Margin of 10,4% (against 12,5%)
  • Net Income of 460 thousand euros (against 280 thousand euros)
  • International Sales represent 38% of Revenue

1. Summary of activity

During 2013, the Reditus Group continued its strong commitment to the expansion of its international operations, namely in Europe and Africa, as well as on the reinforcement of its integrated offering with development of new products and services.

The group opened new branches in key markets, and 38% of its total revenue came from international customers, in line with its experience in 2012.

The Operating Revenue and the EBITDA fell, due to factors related solely to the execution in 2012 of a specific and “one-off” project in the area of ITO in the Angolan market. The Operating Revenue of Reditus was 112.7 million euros, which was 17.5 million euros less than in 2012, and the EBITDA was 11.7 million euros, or 4.6 million euros lower than the 16.3 million euros of the previous year.

By contrast, the Net Results grew significantly by 65%, registering 460 thousand euros, compared with the 280 thousand euros of the previous year, benefiting from the decrease recorded in net financial charges, lower taxes, and various measures implemented to optimize costs and increase operating efficiency.

Operations in the domestic market decreased by 12.5%, reflecting the rationalization of service centers in Portugal and the generally adverse economic environment that continued to affect Portugal.

Reditus Group will carry on implementing its strategy to deliver greater value to the market, focusing on products and services for international markets, increasing its portfolio and optimizing its costs.

ROFF opens new branch in Switzerland

ROFF, a Reditus Company, announces the start up of its operations in Switzerland by opening a new office in this country where it signed its largest ever contract a few months ago, with the Swiss multinational Givaudan.

ROFF intends to expand its presence in this country and recruit 15 new employees for the new branch in Nyon, in pursuit of its aim of also being a reference partner in the Swiss market. The recruitment will initially resort to Portuguese human capital, focusing afterwards on hiring local specialised professionals. The company presently has a permanent team of 70 consultants focused on this market.

ROFF's strategy will initially focus on the country's francophone region, which the company is already familiar with and where it is more easily able to identify business opportunities, thereby allowing it to be more competitive. ROFF is currently developing projects in several multinationals and Swiss company groups, such as Givaudan, CIMO and blue-infinity.

Expansion into this competitive European market forms part of the company's internationalisation strategy; it is already operating in eight different countries on four continents. In addition to the recent investment in the Chinese market with the opening of a branch in Macao at the start of 2013, and its continued presence in the African market, Europe still holds high growth potential for ROFF.

Net Income of Reditus increased by 4.4% in the 1st semester of 2013

  • Operating Income of 56.2 million euros (-7.4%)
  • EBITDA of 5.1 million euros (-12.1%)
  • EBITDA Margin of 9.1% (against 9.6%)
  • Net Income of 260 thousand euros (against 249 thousand euros)
  • International Sales represent 30% of Revenue

1. Summary of Activity

During the first semester of 2013 (1S13), the Group's Operating Income reached 56.2 million euros, corresponding to a decline of 7.4% year-on-year. EBITDA stood at 5.1 million euros, representing a decrease of 12.1% compared to the previous semester. This evolution is primarily related to the delay in the development of projects in the African market, which in the first semester of 2012 (1S12) were very expressive, and the same behaviour was not observed in this interim period.

It should be noted that in the 2nd quarter of 2013, EBITDA continued the positive trend of the 1st quarter, having reached in these three months 3.0 million euros, a 38.4% increase compared to 2.1 million euros in the previous quarter.

Domestic operations increased by 2.5% year-on-year, a remarkable performance given the generally adverse context.

So as to ensure business continuity and development, international expansion continues to be the Group's priority, with new branches having been inaugurated during 1S13 in the Asian and African markets.
