ROFF opens new branch in Switzerland

ROFF, a Reditus Company, announces the start up of its operations in Switzerland by opening a new office in this country where it signed its largest ever contract a few months ago, with the Swiss multinational Givaudan.

ROFF intends to expand its presence in this country and recruit 15 new employees for the new branch in Nyon, in pursuit of its aim of also being a reference partner in the Swiss market. The recruitment will initially resort to Portuguese human capital, focusing afterwards on hiring local specialised professionals. The company presently has a permanent team of 70 consultants focused on this market.

ROFF's strategy will initially focus on the country's francophone region, which the company is already familiar with and where it is more easily able to identify business opportunities, thereby allowing it to be more competitive. ROFF is currently developing projects in several multinationals and Swiss company groups, such as Givaudan, CIMO and blue-infinity.

Expansion into this competitive European market forms part of the company's internationalisation strategy; it is already operating in eight different countries on four continents. In addition to the recent investment in the Chinese market with the opening of a branch in Macao at the start of 2013, and its continued presence in the African market, Europe still holds high growth potential for ROFF.

Net Income of Reditus increased by 4.4% in the 1st semester of 2013

  • Operating Income of 56.2 million euros (-7.4%)
  • EBITDA of 5.1 million euros (-12.1%)
  • EBITDA Margin of 9.1% (against 9.6%)
  • Net Income of 260 thousand euros (against 249 thousand euros)
  • International Sales represent 30% of Revenue

1. Summary of Activity

During the first semester of 2013 (1S13), the Group's Operating Income reached 56.2 million euros, corresponding to a decline of 7.4% year-on-year. EBITDA stood at 5.1 million euros, representing a decrease of 12.1% compared to the previous semester. This evolution is primarily related to the delay in the development of projects in the African market, which in the first semester of 2012 (1S12) were very expressive, and the same behaviour was not observed in this interim period.

It should be noted that in the 2nd quarter of 2013, EBITDA continued the positive trend of the 1st quarter, having reached in these three months 3.0 million euros, a 38.4% increase compared to 2.1 million euros in the previous quarter.

Domestic operations increased by 2.5% year-on-year, a remarkable performance given the generally adverse context.

So as to ensure business continuity and development, international expansion continues to be the Group's priority, with new branches having been inaugurated during 1S13 in the Asian and African markets.

Closing bell in the Lisbon Stock Exchange Reditus, in honor of Reditus

To mark the 25th anniversary of the Reditu's presence in the Lisbon Stock Exchange, Euronext Lisbon organized, on the 4th of April 2013, a special session of the "Closing the Bell" in honor of the oldest Portuguese technological Company.

The traditional ceremonial was recovered in 2010 by the Lisbon Stock Exchange, after a gap of almost 24 years. This tradition, common in other markets, like New York, only takes place in Lisbon Stock Exchange on special occasions in order to commemorate certain events, such as new entries, anniversaries of listed companies - as it was the case of Reditus - or other related to social responsibility.

Reditus was represented in the ceremony by its Executive Committee, Francisco Santana Ramos, President and CEO, Helder Matos Pereira, CFO and Carlos Duarte Oliveira, COO among several shareholders, who also wanted to take part in this historic moment.

This initiative coincided with the presentation of the Reditus’ results for the year 2012, which were also presented in the Lisbon Stock Exchange auditorium.

In 2012, Reditus increased its profitability and strengthened its position on the international market. At the same time, it recorded growth in the domestic market, despite the extremely difficult and negative economicenvironment.

The Operating Revenue reached 128 million euros, a 16.6% increase over the previous year, reflecting the 47.9% rise in international business, which represented 39% of the Group’s overall activity.

This performance on the international level and the results obtained through the operating efficiency plan resulted in significantly higher growth of the EBITDA, which was 16.1 million euros, representing a margin of 12.5%.

During the course of 2012, Reditus remained focused on the expansion of its international operations. This involved the development of projects in countries where the company is physically present, as well as the export of services and products from Portugal. This international performance constitutes one of the most important catalysts for growth and consequently for the creation of value for the Group.

This emphasis on services and products with a difference continued to be a priority for the Reditus Group, given its important role in the pursuit of sustainable growth. This is especially true in an adverse economic environment, which demands higher competitiveness in the offer of products and services and, at the same time, requires greater efficiency in their execution.
